What Are Your Impressions of India as a Country?
India is a country where the new and the old coexist. While many newly paved roads are being developed, just a turn away, you can still find uneven, unpaved surfaces. This contrast reflects both the nation's continuous development and its immense potential for future growth. The domestic vehicle sales volume is expected to triple over the next 20 years, and along with it, tire demand is also projected to rise significantly.

Launch of TURANZA 6i
In April 2024, we officially entered the premium tire market with the launch of the TURANZA 6i. Positioned as the India version of the TURANZA 6, the product was introduced with a lineup of 36 sizes ranging from 14 to 20 inches.
By incorporating our proprietary ENLITEN™ technology as the base technology of product design, the TURANZA 6i delivers Bridgestone’s traditional strengths—such as durability and wear resistance suited for India’s diverse road conditions—while also achieving a balance that meets the increasing demands for quietness and a comfortable ride. In addition, it offers excellent fuel efficiency, bringing new value to the Indian market.

Expanding the Premium Tire Business
As SUV sales continue to grow, now accounting for nearly 60% of new passenger vehicle sales in India, the demand for High Rim Diameter (HRD) tires is expected to triple over the next decade. To meet this increasing demand, Bridgestone expanded its HRD tire lineup in 2024. Additionally, in collaboration with our dealer network, we are leveraging India’s strength in digital technology to enhance transaction efficiency and visibility. This has enabled the implementation of services like "Express Delivery Service," ensuring that even if a customer’s desired tire is not immediately available at the store, it can be delivered within two hours, contributing to a 98.8% fulfillment rate across India.
Furthermore, we have introduced the 100km inspection service, which is already available in Japan, making Bridgestone the first tire brand in India to implement this initiative. By strengthening value delivery across the entire value chain, we are reinforcing the premium positioning of our tire business in India.
